C4 is the pre-workout most people start on, and the reason is the caffeine. At 150mg a serving, roughly a strong coffee. It gives you the lift without the jitters and the afternoon crash that heavier formulas can bring.
Alongside the caffeine sits 1.6g of CarnoSyn beta-alanine, the ingredient behind the tingling sensation and the one that helps buffer fatigue through longer sets, plus 1g of creatine nitrate for the pump. Cellucor keeps it sugar free and the scoop small at around 6g, so it mixes into 4 to 6oz of water and goes down in a mouthful 20 to 30 minutes before you train.
It comes in two tubs: 30 servings, or 50 servings if it has become part of your routine.
Flavours differ slightly by tub. The larger one carries Grape, Watermelon, Fruit Punch and Icy Blue Razz; the smaller one swaps Grape for Pink Lemonade.
