A 5LBS tub is a commitment, so the thing that matters most is whether you will still want to drink it in week eight. Basix built this one around that, with four flavours and a blend chosen for mixability.
It is a multi-source blend rather than a pure whey: whey protein concentrate and whey protein isolate, with soy protein isolate alongside them. Each 34g scoop gives 25g of protein at 122 calories, with 1.7g of fat, 1.3g of carbohydrate and 0.8g of sugars, working out at 73.6g of protein per 100g. There is no added sugar; it is sweetened with sucralose.
Mix one scoop with 250 to 300ml of water or milk, shake and drink straight away. The 5LBS tub is the size to buy if a shake is part of the daily routine rather than something for training days only.
Choose from Salted Caramel, Chocolate Peanut Butter, Strawberry or Vanilla. It contains milk and soy, so it is not one for anyone avoiding either.
